If you’re looking for the perfect Tennessee mountain vacation complete with whitewater rafting on the Ocoee river (where the 1996 Olympic whitewater events were held) or maybe gentle floating on the Hiwassee river then you have found the place. Stone Creek Cabins is located right slap dab in the middle of both rivers! (well OK, between both rivers) And guess what? The Scenic Hiwassee is one of the best fly fishing rivers in the country. Nearby, you’ll also find horseback riding, antique shops, hiking, biking, breathtaking views and we’re only one hour away from downtown Chattanooga. Stone Creek Cabins is located in southeast Tennessee 3.6 miles north of Benton, which is about 45 miles east of Chattanooga and about 75 miles south of Knoxville on Mountain View Road between the Ocoee and Hiwassee rivers. We have 20 all wooded acres with a cool mountain stream, a 3/4 acre spring fed pond, regulation size volleyball court and horseshoe pitching. We also border the 630,000 acre Cherokee National Forest at the foot of Chilhowee Mountain.

You can use internet directions or GPS to get to Benton, Tennessee but then you will need to use the written directions from our website to bring you to Stone Creek Cabins from Benton. {Note that U. S. 64 highway is closed west of Ocoee and Benton due to a rock slide that happened in November and is expected to reopen around March 31. This will only effect people east of our area. If you are traveling here from east of Benton call for directions. You can view by live web cam the cleanup effort on U. S. 64 at this link; http://oxblue.com/pro/open/tdot/us64rockslide The slide is located at the "Put-in" of the middle Ocoee river rafting section. TDOT estimates about 3000 dump truck loads of rock to be hauled off during the cleanup. This web cam refreshes about every 15 minutes.
